It’s bigger than the Darling Square branch and has a cozy café section too, which I really like. Despite being quite busy, the service was fast. I only ordered 2 hash browns this time. The hash browns were good, though not as hot as I’d like. Also, I noticed the price here is slightly higher—$3.25 compared to $3.10 in Darling Square. Hmm… wonder why? “ I’m not a “Maccas fan” overall but am very pleased this one’s here (I work very close by & it’s open 24x7 & $2 burgers x 2 come in very handy when you need food quickly & have left lunch or dinner at home. Staff here are always excellent & work incredibly quickly (my first job, aged 14 when it was still legal, in high school was at Maccas Capalaba Qld way back in 1988, & we definitely didn’t work as fast & hard as these great young people do). This place is within a heritage listed 1932 building & still has original interior details (check the pics). If you want or need Maccas in Sydney CBD, this is the one to come to - it never closes ”

“ 5 stars for a McDonald's ? Yes, because it met my expectations for a branch of this franchise for food quality, cleanliness of the dining area, and speed with which our meal was ready. I noticed a staff member cleaning some of the tables as we entered, I was also impressed that the screens of the self-ordering terminals appeared to be clean and free of obvious smudges. We ordered a medium Cheeseburger Meal, a Classic Angus Burger, and a medium fries. $24, including a 15 cent rounding donation to Ronald McDonald House. From the time I paid and took the docket from the terminal, to the time our meal was ready to collect from the front counter couldn't have been more than two minutes. The Classic Angus presented well, but more importantly, tasted fresh and delicious. The buns tasted fresh, the meat patty was well cooked, the lettuce and the tomato were crisp. My partner was especially impressed with the freshness of the fries. The staff recruitment process for this branch must be on-point, the team members I observed during my visit appeared to be motivated and efficient. I was also impressed that some of the interior decor of the original interior had been retained, some intricate decoration can be observed near the ceiling as you leave. I also liked the small McCafe counter near the entrance, ideal if you want to quickly grab a coffee or a snack to take away. ”

“ Fast, friendly, and convenient! McDonald’s George Street is my go-to stop in the city. Service is quick, the staff are polite, and the place is always clean despite being super busy. The self-order kiosks make it really easy to customize your meal, and the food is consistently fresh and hot. Perfect spot for a quick bite whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or a late-night snack. Great location too — right in the heart of the city ”
